Yes. "Best-before" is the manufacturer's quality date, not a safety date — the product is sealed, stored correctly, and identical to what you'd buy in any supermarket. The FSAI confirms that best-before food is safe to consume past the date for most products.

For items past the best-before date: we only sell past-BBD stock when it's sealed, undamaged and presents the same as a fresh batch. These items are flagged clearly on the product page. We always recommend giving any past-BBD product a quick check before consuming — confirm the seal is intact, look at the contents and give it a smell. If anything seems off, don't consume it — contact us at shop@bestb4.ie for a refund or replacement.

Note: we never sell items past a use-by date. Use-by applies to chilled / fresh items and is a strict safety deadline.

We ship via An Post and DPD. Standard delivery is €4.95, free on orders over €100. Most orders arrive within 2–3 working days. Chilled items ship Mon–Wed only.

We do not offer change-of-mind refunds. We do honour Irish statutory consumer rights — if your order arrives damaged, spoiled in transit, missing items, or significantly different from what was ordered, contact us at shop@bestb4.ie within 48 hours and we'll refund or replace.

Sealed food and personal-care items are excluded from standard 14-day cooling-off rights under Irish law (SI 484/2013). Past-BBD items are flagged on the product page and sold on that basis.
